Hyper-V Manager improvements in Windows Server 2016 (Technical Preview)

There are 3 new Hyper-V manager improvements in Windows Server 2016 (Technical Preview). The first one is "Alternate credentials support". In Hyper-V Manager of Windows Server Technical Preview or Remote Server Administration Tools of Windows 10, we can check "Connect as another user" option to provide a different credential to connect and manage Hyper-V hosts.

Then, click "Set User" to enter the credential of the remote host.

The second improvement is "Down-level management". Now, we can use Hyper-V manager to manage the previous Hyper-V like Hyper-V Server 2012, Hyper-V Server 2012 R2, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2012 R2.

The last improvement is "Updated management protocol". Hyper-V manager uses WS-MAN protocol to communicate with Hyper-V hosts. Then, it supports CredSSP, Kerberos or NTLM authentication. Using CredSSP, we can perform a live migration in workgroup environment without enabling constrained delegation in Active Directory. Hyper-V hosts aren't needed to join domain to perform a live migration.
