Modify Remote Desktop service port number

By default, Remote Desktop service is used port 3389. But we can modify this setting by registry.

1.     At Windows, login as Administrator.

2.     Click “Start”, enter “regedit”.
3.     Navigate to the following registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\TerminalServer\WinStations\RDP-Tcp\

4.     At right pane, double-click “PortNumber”.

5.     Select “Decimal”.

6.     Next to “Value data”, type a new port number.
7.     Click “OK”.
8.     Close Registry Editor.
9.     Restart the computer.
